I graduated in June 2010 at the Department of Biology, University of Warsaw, Poland. I spent 6 months at Umea University, Sweden due to Erasmus Exchange Program. Before completing my master studies I took participation in Erasmus Internship Program. I spent 3 months at Clinical Research Center in Malmö, Sweden. My Master thesis was on the Mutation and haplogroup analysis of mitochondrial DNA in Polish paediatric patients with hematopoietic malignancies. In April 2014, I joined, Prof. Karl Swärd’s group at the Experimental Medical Science Department in Lund. My PhD project focuses on biology and signaling pathways in vascular smooth muscle cells. My first paper was published in 2015, where we found myocardin family coactivators regulation in caveolae formation in smooth muscle cells. My next project concerns the Notch signaling and its role in expression of soluble guanylyl cyclase in hypertension.
