Technology development for in vitro small artery remodeling studies
Danish Myo Technology (DMT) in collaboration with Aarhus University biomedicine department, Denmark
In 2011 I got my master degree in Pharmacy at Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. Afterwards I have been enrolled in one of the European projects under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie scholarship called PHYPODE. I moved to Brest France where as a young stage researcher I have been working for 3 years to obtain my PhD. The subject of my research was pathophysiology of decompression sickness with the emphasis of the role of endothelium and cardiovascular system. I graduated from Universite de Bretagne Occidentale in October 2014 and in November 2014 I started a new project SMARTER at DMT/ Aarhus University as a postdoc. Under the supervision of Christian Aalkjær, Vladimir Matchkov and Rene Hummel I have been further improving and validating a chamber which allows studying blood vessels in vivo. We were recording behaviour of mesenteric arteries after pharmacological or electrical field stimulation (either adrenergic or sensory nerves) in vivo.
