SmArteR kick-off meeting

26 to 27 June, 2014, Eggersdorf , Germany

he SmArteR kick-off meeting took place from 26 to 27 June, 2014, at the Landhaus Villago in Eggersdorf near Berlin. All students were hired and almost all were present at this meeting, and the purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted, build a team of our new students, and discuss the work to be done. All projects were introduced by the supervisors, on Thursday evening Michael J. Mulvany, in his capacity as vice president of the ‘ORPHEUS’ organization (Organisation for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System), presented the lecture “Go for it! Why a PhD should be the path to success”.  A special event was the canoe trip with special assignments, a great way to build a team from our students!
